Chicken can be said to be the most consumed meat in the world. Its low price and a variety of foods that make it a food can make people want to stop. This huge market demand has made many people want to join the ranks of chickens. To raise chickens, we must first decide the method of breeding. At present, there are four ways to raise chickens in the mainstream: landing and free-range, free-range on the ground, mixed ground, and caged. Let’s talk about cage raising.

Caging is the practice of raising chickens in wire – welded cages.Different types of chicken cages are designed according to the breed, gender and age of the chickens, including chick cages, reared chicken cages, layer chicken cages, breeding chicken cages and broiler cages.

The main advantages of caged are:

1. Increase the stocking density. The stereo cage can increase the density by more than 3 times than the flat culture, and the laying hen can reach more than 17 square meters.

2. Save feed. The chickens are kept in cages, the amount of exercise is reduced, the energy consumption is small, and the waste material is reduced. Artificial insemination of breeders can raise cocks less.

3. Chickens do not touch the feces, which is conducive to the prevention of flocks.

4. The eggs are relatively clean and can eliminate eggs outside the nest.

5. There is no litter problem.

The main disadvantages of cage chickens are:

1. The amount of egg production may be less than that of raising eggs.

2. The investment is large.

3. The proportion of blood spotted eggs is high, the quality of eggs is slightly poor, and the pass rate of eggs is low.

4. Cage chicken quenching syndrome affects the survival rate and egg production performance of chickens.

5. The appearance of the eliminated chicken is poor, the bones are brittle, and the selling price is low.
